Female program coaching staff for the 2024/25 season

After many applications & candidate interviews, on behalf of Cricket Ipswich we are thrilled to announce the our Female program coaching staff for the 2024/25 season.



Female Director of Coaching – Justin Anderson – We would like to introduce Justin Anderson as the FDOC. Justin brings with a wealth of cricket coaching experience with him including QLD Country, Schaffer Shield, Darling Dingoes BPL & was one of the inaugural Hornets Female Coaches. We would like to welcome Justin back the Hornets family.


1st Grade Coach – Darren Koch – Darren has been involved with the Hornets programme as an assistant coach for many years now, has previously coached the female 2nd Grade team & has been the coach of the Darling Dingoes female side since the inception of the BPL. We congratulate  Darren on this appointment.


2nd Grade Coach – Zach McAlloon – Zach was the coach of the Premiership wining 2nd Grade side last year. We look forward to Zach continuing in his role, working with the team this year & continuing to build with-in the Hornets programme. Welcome back Zach.


Rebecca McCoombes Cup Coach – Lars DeGier – Lars was also the RMC coach last season. We also look forward to Lars continuing in his role, working with the team this year & continuing to build with-in the Hornets programme. Welcome back Lars.


Girls Taverners (Paul Pink Shield) Coach & Development Programme Officer – Trinity Doyle – Trinity will be the Girls Taverners Coach & Development Programme Officer for the 2024/25 season. Trinity has been involved in the Hornets programs for many years now as a player, we look forward to working with her in our Paul Pink & Development areas of the Hornets programme. Trinity will be mentored by her father Andrew throughout the season. Welcome Trinity. 


Luke Humphries – Specialist Coach – Luke is a Level 4 accredited cricket coach. Luke is relocating to Australia to continue to pursue his passion for coaching. Luke will be intrusted as a Specialist Skills Coach within the Hornets programme. We not only look forward to seeing what Luke brings to the Hornets squad but what he can also offer all our Coaches with their personal development. 


On Wednesday the 12th of June we will be holding an online information session to communicate with players & parents as to what the 2024/25 season will look like. We extend an invitation to any interested players to attend. For details, please email info@cricketipswich.org.au


Cricket Ipswich would like to congratulate the successful applicants along with thanking those who applied for positions but were unsuccessful, we thank them all for their interest in the Female Hornets Programme.
